Monster Island was the Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster and it was released in the same period as Godzilla King of the Monsters. The film is about an island with the same name as the island itself, where a monster lives.


Because the budget for this asylum film is so low (about the equivalent of a large children’s meal), they chose to shoot only a few scenes and all of the key moments with the cast's A-listers during lunch. The Asylum may not Monster Island (2019) bad movie do so badly considering that it is a kaiju movie.
